And it works like gangbusters...
Their company made over $300 million dollars in the last five years...

This year, they decided to improve pots and pans...
Nothing new...
Pots and pans have been around for more than a hundred years...
If I asked you to focus on this, what would you do?
What's left to create?
New sizes...
Different colors...
Lighter materials...
Look what these two brothers focused on:

All the handles fold in to save space (even the lid), and they're stackable.
(They'll fit in small drawers.)

On close inspection, they're durable and functional too.
Now imagine you decided to create a vegetable steamer...
You already know it hasn't changed much in the last few decades. Everybody sells the standard version.
In fact, my Mom had one like this years ago:

Look how they improved this "boring" item:

By breaking the steamer into three compartments, vegetables get cooked perfectly.
(And you don't burn fingers every time you use it.)
Are you starting to see a pattern here?
They take really common, "boring" products and create useful, extraordinary versions.
Notice that they don't just dream up really weird "novelty" products.

That's just wierd...
These brothers spot real needs and problems and alter everyday items to...
...make them "more useful".
It's not rocket science.
And it works...
($300M in 5 years isn't pocket change.)
Let me give you a powerful "mind tool" you can use to create valuable products just like these (or any type of product)...
In 1971, Bob Eberle took a checklist from Alex Osborn and created S.C.A.M.P.E.R. for his book "Games for Imagination Development".
Each letter stands for a different concept:
S = Substitute
C = Combine
A = Adapt
M = Magnify/Minify/Modify
P = Put to another use
E = Eliminate
R = Rearrange/Reverse
Pick any product. (It can be physical or digital. It can be a process or service.)
Write down all the parts.
If it's a process or service, write down the stages or steps.
Pick one thing to focus on. Read through the questions below, with "more useful" in mind...
Substitute:
What part can be replaced?
What material can be substituted?
What function can be switched?
etc...
Combine:
What materials can be combined?
How could we create an assortment?
How can we combine different appeals?
etc...
Adapt:
What else is similar to this?
Whose ideas could I adapt?
What ideas in nature are similar?
etc...
Magnify:
What can be exaggerated?
How could we make it enormous?
How can we make it stronger?
etc...
Minify:
How can we make it small?
What functions can be removed?
What features can be shrunk?
etc...
Modify:
How can we introduce a new twist?
How can we modify the marketing message?
How can we modify user behaviour/attitudes?
etc...
Put to another use:
What can we do with the waste?
Can we make it more generic?
What else can this be used for?
etc...
Eliminate:
What step could we omit?
How can I divide it into two?
How can I make it more compact?
etc...
Rearrange:
How can we change the order?
How can we change the schedule?
What other layout can we use?
etc...
Reverse:
What is the opposite?
How can I reverse the usage?
How can I reverse the model?
etc...
See how that works?
This week, we added more S.C.A.M.P.E.R. triggers to
The Genius Machine 2â„¢

We've also added a library of addition triggers, that go far beyond S.C.A.M.P.E.R.

1. Phoenix C.I.A. Checklist...
2. "Try it..." PICL Juice...
3. People, Places, Things...
4. Sensory Overload...
5. Photo Route 66...
6. Emotional Slang...
And more...
These creative triggers help you think up bestselling ideas faster, or you can create your own lists too.
This software works directly in your browser and can be used for any industry, product, service, topic, or process...

It goes way beyond vegetable steamers. :)
For example, using the trigger "How can I reverse the model?" I thought of the Affiliate Toll Booth concept.
Here's a quick overview...
You write an email series for a popular product, prove it converts using your own affiliate link, then ask other affiliates that are direct linking to point their links to your optin form.
Why would they do that?
Because you dynamically insert their affiliate link into every email in the series that's sent to one of their optins, so they make more money.
Why would you do that?
Because you get traffic and leads of highly targeted visitors at no extra cost.
There are more ways to modify this, but that's the short version.
Done correctly, it generates leads, backlinks, and money, all at the same time.
Any business in any industry could benefit from this little gem.
That one idea will be very valuable over the coming years...
And it's just one idea from one trigger, out of hundreds.
The science of neuroplasticity tells us the brain changes and grows. The Genius Machineâ„¢ is like a weight bench that strengthens your brain so it gets really strong at making connections. Creativity is connecting things...
