Using Compound Interest To Create An Entrepreneurial Self Discipline Mindset...
In the last post, you learned how important compound interest is for establishing self discpline as an entrepreneur, and a new way to think about your goals so you finish them every time...
If you missed that, you should click here and read Part 1 first...
Most entrepreneurs already understand compound interest quite well, so jumping from that to planning self-discipline isn't a difficult mindset shift, once the connection has been made.
Now, the last part is to use the compound interest curve to predict all the points ahead in your journey, so you don't get frustrated when things start out slow...
The math behind predicting compounding results is a little tricky, so I had one of our developers make a compound curve planner to make this easy to use...
It's all here:
Compound Curve Plannerâ„¢
It's totally free.
There's no optin or shenanigans. :)
And it's really easy to use.
Here's a quick example:
Let's say you plan to get 100 daily visitors by writing 100 blog posts...
In the Starting Value box, enter "0", because we'll assume you don't have consistent daily visitors yet.
In the box to the right, enter "daily visitors". That's what you're trying to get from your blog posts.
In the Ending Value box, enter 100, because you want 100 daily visitors when you're all done.
In the # of Times box, enter 100, because your plan is to write 100 blog posts.
In the box to the right enter "blog post", because that's the thing you attempt in order to get the results.
You're plan might use days/dollars, videos/subs, emails/backlinks, or any other pair of cause/effect.
Click to calculate...
You'll see two graphs...
The first graph shows how results will grow over time...
...very little at first (left side), and much more toward the end (right side).
The second graph is a real eye-opener, because it reveals what it will feel like to climb the curve...
(This is explained here.)
When you don't plan for this curve, the lack of results during most of the journey messes with your mind, making you want to quit before you ever get to the bend in the curve.
Not anymore.
Now you've got a way to set the right expectations from the start, so your mind can't play tricks on you.
You can even export the raw data to a spreadsheet to compare with your actual results so you see progress as you climb up the curve.
Test it out, stay the course, and cross the finish line...
